Texan on the bayous of SE Louisiana. Taking photos of the flora, fauna, and people of both areas. Contact @: [email protected] I was born and raised in Arlington, TX, which is a part of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. After my discharge from the Army after Desert Storm, I moved back, living in the Austin area and South of Ft. Worth. I have recently moved to Louisiana, specifically the Lafourche Bayou area. In doing so, I've found my second favorite area.
Growing up I became interested in Photography, when my dad got himself a Pentax K1000 35mm. I used to follow him around bugging him with questions about photography, and even slipped away with his camera when I could. I think he finally got tired of me bugging him, and he and my mom got me my own Ricoh 35mm for Christmas when I was a teenager.
As life wore on, photography took a backseat to it. For many, many years after I was discharged from the Army I fought inner demons, and towards the end had difficulty holding down a job because of those demons. I went to see Psych at the VA clinic in Austin, and they gave me a name for my demons, PTSD. In doing so, I was asked what helped to level me out, calm me down. Well, that has always been Photography and driving, and those two things really kind of fit together. So now, I take pictures of those things that catch my eye, things like the Harbor Master Marina photo that stir my imagination, reminding me of times when I didn't have demons. Now my job is to take beautiful pictures, and I hope that you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy taking them.
I currently use a Nikon D780 Full Frame with 3 different lenses. I hope to be able to add a Nikon Z9 and the necessary lenses to my collection.
